To be home alone. To be able to do as one pleases. To decide for oneself. A title borrowed from a Hollywood film functions as the starting point for an exhibition where eight artists are given free hands to occupy the gallery with installation, photography, painting, drawing, text and video.

The participating artists administrate this in a variety of different ways. From Emil Lykkegaard’s investigation of the concept of autonomy on a white sheet of A4 to Pind’s lonely documentation of twenty-four hours of nonstop stream of consciousness and Erik van Lieshout’s attempt at teaching a young Chinese girl English. Stefan Rotvit’s contribution is an undisturbed world of condensed cloud formations in ballpoint on cotton and Sofia Hultén’s a kind of hide and seek with the inventory of the house. Tjorg Douglas Beer presents two meditating Palestinians on picnic and Erwin Wurm sculptures of cucumbers on the scale of 1:1 while Agnete Krogh Vinkler transforms the architecture of the gallery with an installation of paintings that echo columns and negative space.
