Galerie Mikael Andersen was established in
Copenhagen in 1989 and shows exhibitions of
Danish and International contemporary art.
The pro le of the gallery relies on some of
the most talented artists of the young generation and also includes a number of important
Danish and International artists that emerged
on the art scene in the eighties and nineties.
Galerie Mikael Andersen has curated a number of exhibition projects outside the gallery. Fairy Tales Forever at Aros - Aarhus Art Museum, 2005; Display, Charlottenborg, Copenhagen 1997 and City Space, public spaces, Copenhagen 1996. Participating artists has included Vanesssa Beecroft, Daniel Buren, Mona Hatoum, Pierre Huyghe, William Kentridge, Martin Kippenberger, Elke Krystufek, Paul McCarthy & Mike Kelley and Pipilotti Rist.
