GÜNTHER FÖRG

Günter Förg (b. 1952) is one of the most prominent German artists of his generation. Backed by an impressive output, he continues to have exhibitions at art museums across Europe. Förg launched his art career in the 1970s with a series of monochrome paintings. Although he has since worked in a variety of materials and techniques, monochromatic painting remains his artistic backbone to which his various bodies of work all adhere. Förg practices the classic media of painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography. In Denmark, Förg's work may be viewed at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of Art, ARoS Museum of Art and Arken Museum of Modern Art.
